Asbury Park is one of my favorite places on the planet. I am a FREQUENT visitor, and I often bring others for the trip. Many of those people have become frequent visiotrs themselves. You've lost a few great places there over the past few years (most heartbraking is the previous incarnation of Asbury Lanes). While progress is unavoidable we shouldn't forget the things that made this place so unique that a person like me wouldn't bat an eye at a train ride from Brooklyn to get there (or a late train home). Keep Asbury Park weird and unique.

We need to preserve the small venues, art & photo galleries and vintage shops within the Asbury Park community that has kept this town alive all these years. We cannot allow Asbury locals to be driven out because of the rapid building of condos, hotels and the price of living increasing to an unfair level of affordability. Without music and art, this town will become just another stale, expensive, and uninspired tourist trap.

The City of Asbury Park and its businesses and residents will continue to thrive and grow if the arts are supported, nurtured and protected from excessive rents and costs.

Please do not turn my favorite town in New Jersey into another Long Branch over profits. We love the culture just as it is

I believe they need to keep AP open for cultural and arts, continue to grow it for generations to come.
