Bittu Choudhary started this petition to Arvind Kejriwal (Chief Minister of Delhi) and

Delhi govt proposed free travel scheme in Delhi Metro and DTC buses for women. Govt cited safety of women behind this proposed scheme. Intent is good but we suggest following points for better implementation and increase reach of benefits of scheme.

  1. Use surplus funds for providing 24*7 metro service. Metro is safest mode of transport.
  2. Include school students in free scheme.
  3. Scheme should be on economic grounds so that blue-collar workers can save up to 3000-4000 per month.
    1. Release new metro card to economically weaker section or register their existing metro card numbers. Metro cards must be linked with Aadhar number
    2. Either top up their metro card electronically or feed those metro card numbers in metro system for free entry - exit.
    3. Card user must re-register card after every 50 trips. It can be done from metro card recharge counter or vending machine by asking Aadhar number and entering OTP received on mobile number linked to Aadhar number.
    4. This will prevent selling out of metro card for monetary benefits.
  4. Start late night metro feeder bus service to near by colonies
