Sabina Alia started this petition to "Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi"

Arvind Kejriwal,  Delhi C. M.

Respected Sir,

I'm Sabina Alia from Assam, India, writing this petition as reference to your email through looking for the ideas and suggestions, how the capital city Delhi can be made pollution free.

Although I'm not staying in Delhi,  visited the city three years before and came back with a miserable scenario in memory  .

Pollution is one of the major issues causing concern not only in Delhi but also across the India. It is disheartening to hear that Delhi, the capital city of India is being tagged as one of the most heavily polluted capital cities in the world. To prevent pollution I have submitted a few ideas below ---

1. The industries and factories should be placed in the approved industrial areas.

2. The government and non- government  employees should be picked up with the official  transport.

3. If possible, the accommodation of employees should be provided near their working places.

4. Available government guides should be employed in historical places to make the tourists aware of city disciplines and it will ensure the cleanliness in those places.

5. Sir,  I request to provide a hygenenic atmosphere in slam areas.

6. Government should be strict to the plastic bag manufacturers,  sellers and users.

7. Separate dustbins for biodegradable and non-biodegradable things should be provided  by the roadsides after a regular intervals of distance (20 -30m) and ensure regular placement of dustbins,  sweepers, dumper placers, tripper trucks to collect and dispose the garbage.

8. Delhi government should take proper technology and methods to treat the wastes such as - waste water,  solid, liquid, industrial and hospital waste to reduce the pollution.

9. If the smoke of burning corps from neighbouring states is one of the primary causes of air pollution in Delhi , the conflict should be reconciled as soon as possible with the help of Central government.

10. Full co-operation of Delhi citizens with the government is very important in this operation.  All citizens are not concerned about the duties of a good citizen. So government should send notice to each house number, shop and industry to make  the citizens convinced  about their duties in creating a healthy environment. The notice should contain the list of duties .

11. High increasing of population is the root problem of many problems in India. Indian Government should establish a strict rule on birth control.

At last I'm going to share one my memories which filled my eyes with pain is the miserable and unhealthy atmosphere of slam areas in capital City . I have no word to describe such a pathetic condition of poor seen on the way to Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah . It was a wintry morning of December. Poor people were sitting with dirty torn clothes on the footpath in front of makeshift houses.  A dirty smell was covering the area,  the pits of garbage and latrines were scattering here and there . Sir, here I request you to provide them a secured shelter and hygenenic atmospheric. If you increase the number of sweepers by employing those poor,  two folded benifits are  there -- the poor will earn their livelihood and each and every corners of capital city will meet its cleanliness.

I have written this petition for public benifit . If my ideas can help you it will be a great achievement for me.

Thanking you,

Sabina Alia
