Dear decision-makers at ArtCenter College of Design,

We would like to express our willingness for the school to move all classes online, and cancel all unnecessary on-campus activities.

We are very concerned about the wellbeings of the stakeholders on campus, given the potential threat of COVID-19 spreading much more severely in the upcoming weeks. Within the California, there are already over 100 confirmed cases. Furthermore, according to various news reports, medical facilities are lacking testing-kit for people who experience symptoms of the virus; thus the actual infected population could be much higher than the current number provided online.

Please check this CDC website to see the most recent updates on confirmed cases:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-in-us.html

Learn about the danger of the virus (i.e short/long term damage to the body, death rate) of COVID-19 from this WHO website:

https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019

THE DEATH RATE OF COVID-19 IS OVER 3.4%, AND IT IS NOT THE SAME AS A YEARLY FLU!!

On behalf of the school community, please consider using online platforms to replace regular classes and cancel all unnecessary on-campus activities if possible.
