Please sign this petition showing our Superintendent, Dr. Falknstein, your support in our URGENT REQUEST IN HIRING AN ARMED SECURITY GUARD for Kingwood Township School. As the dynamic of our world is ever evolving it is crucial that the SAFETY of not only the students but the staff is our number one priority. We are asking to give our children and the wonderful staff at Kingwood Tonwship School an added level of security, so that they can focus on what they are at school to do, learn.

Our New Jersey State Police are wonderful, and yes they may be in close proximity but we cannot expect them to be in the building during school hours when they have a large area of Hunterdon County to respond to. 

- - Currently our high school (Del Val) is in the process of hiring an armed security guard , they have budgeted $55,000 for it - - (please also note, this position does NOT offer pension or benefits because the requirements to become an armed security guard as to date you must be a retired NJ police officer under the age of 65)

***Many other towns are implementing armed security guards in ALL of their schools throughout New Jersey for the start of the 2022 school year. Let's not put a price tag on our children's safety and do what is right
