We need to do more to account for racial disparities and teach both the problem and solutions while children are in school.

I am an APS teacher and parent. I support this proposal. It is critical that we prepare our students with the knowledge and skills they will need to continue these critical conversations throughout their lives. I also think we need to advocate for a redesign of the Virginia Social Studies SOLs K-12 to be more inclusive.
