Please consider the petition for sentence commutation of Arlana Moore on file with the U.S. Office of the Pardon Attorney. Her story is highlighted on

A Life Sentence without Parole for a 57 year old woman who has never been to rehab or prison for a drug habit that resulted in her purchasing 37 boxes of cold medicine over 20 months- to trade to a meth cook for 1/2 gram per box. This should not be the end of her story, which would be to Die in Prison. Can she please have another chance like the other co-defendants?

One co-defendant, the Meth cook, received 78 Months and has been Released over 2 years ago! His two female assistants, who housed Speed Labs in each of their homes, received 59 months and 41 months {respectively}, all for turning in (snitching on) their former meth customers who had purchased sudafed pills to exchange for meth, instead of the usual cash payment.

Arlana Moore's two prior state probation convictions were for possession of small personal amounts of drugs. 1990- possession of 2 grams of meth and 2005- possession of about 20 codeine pills. Are these two drug priors really enough to warrant Life Without Parole?

Arlana, now thankfully clean and sober for many years, is busy living a new life free from the destructive, energy-draining addiction to methamphetamine which plagued her for over 30 years. She was never given a chance to enter rehab and try to combat the problem. This has been a shocking wake-up call to her and our whole family. Our mother is nearing 80 years old and our other sister is disabled.  We are all praying for this miracle of commutation in time. We need Arlana back to help! She is currently in the residential 18-month Life Connections Re-Entry Program (LCP) and happily rehabilitated.

With absolutely no history of: drug sales, delivery, smuggling, violence, theft, fraud, robbery, burglary, or assault, her crime was motivated by an untreated drug habit for personal consumption, as were her two felony priors. She has been locked up now since 2009.

Please give Arlana Moore another chance! Thank you for your support and prayers.
