He refuses to resign..
Mar 26, 2015 — First of all, a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who took the time to read and sign my petition. Unfortunately, even after over 11,000 signatures, not only has Representative Harris refused to resign, the Governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson and the entire elected legislature (with one notable exception, Rep. Eddie Armstrong of North Little Rock), have refused to address Representative Harris' "re-homing" of his adoptive daughters to a sex offender or call for his resignation. Obviously, it's disappointing that Representative Harris refuses to acknowledge any malfeasance whatsoever and resign, but the disappointment extends to our other elected officials who refuse to hold Rep. Harris accountable for his decisions. This week, Representative Harris voted "yes" to a bill that was approved by the Arkansas House of Representatives that makes "re-homing" an adoptive child a felony. The legislative session ends next Friday, April 3rd, and Justin Harris will return to his Christian preschool in West Fork, AR (which has received over $4 million in tax payer subsidies since 2010), and to pursuing his master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy at Liberty University. If you are able to, please take a minute to call Governor Asa Hutchinson, the House Majority leader Ken Bragg or leave a message for Rep. Harris himself and let them know how disappointed we are they have refused to act. Thank you all again! #fosterkidsmatter
