Prey (2017) was a reboot of the Prey (2006) after the second game, in the original series, wasn't a massive success. Prey (2017) didn't hit Bethesda's "goal" of sold copies so the second game was canceled.

However, compared to Prey (2006) Bethesda didn't market the newest Prey to the point they did with the original. The 2017 receive a good metacrit score however with how little marketing was done it wasn't enough to sale enough copies for Bethesda. Compared to the 2006 game (when adjusting for population growth) the 2017 version sold 237,201 more copies.

In 2018 Bethesda and Arkane Studios worked together to make Prey: Mooncrash which was considered one of the best DLC of 2018, but sadly didn't sell well from not being pushed a lot. To the point when I first got the game I never knew a DLC was coming out until it was released.

The story was incredible and extremely fun to explore and learn all the secretes and lore that most people will overlook and not look into. As well the ending sets up the absolute perfect. As well the game finds a way to evenly balance both only typhoon powers vs human powers. The game is great in almost everyway possible and even makes a couple of jokes if you do things out of order. I honestly hope this game gets a sequel at some point and not a reboot because they nailed it this time.
