Petition to FIDE (International Chess Federation)

FIDE (International chess federation) created a procedure of k40 factor in which players can increase 40 rating points per win in a FIDE rated tournament. After age 18 it is K20 in which 20 rating is increased per win.

Now due to covid-19 there are no FIDE Rated chess events anywhere and many players are also having their last year of K40 factor and prepared for year 2020 so that they can increase rating rapidly. As everyone are stuck in quarantine, we request FIDE to increase the time period of k40 for all players U18 or atleast for players having their last year of k40 factor that is year 2020 as they are the ones who are effected by this the most. Every chess player knows that last year of k40 factor is very crucial and every player prepares for it seriously as it is the last opportunity for any player for increasing good amount of rating with less number of wins. We expect the extension of the k40 factor for players for atleast equal to the time spent in quarantine by everyone.

This would be fair for all the players affected.
