Residents of Elwak town (Mandera South constituency) within Mandera County in the Republic of Kenya, are undergoing untold suffering as a result of power outage for the last four years. Peoples lives and livelihoods are at stake. Drugs for Diabetic patients have became stale, fresh farm produce are no longer available, vaccines and essential drugs no longer reach the anticipated shelf life, all this because of complete and deliberate power outage, KPLC been a business entity notwithstanding.

By signing this petition, we would like to appeal to the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta, to compel KPLC to provide the much required Electricity supply through the Ministry of Energy to save peoples lives and livelihoods.

Previous attempts to address the same through the local leadership has failed.
