Food Truck Ordinance proposed changes in Arden Hills

Food Truck Ordinance proposed changes in Arden Hills
Fellow Arden Hills residents,
Many of you have enjoyed neighborhood food trucks last summer and this summer. These events have offered a sense of community and encouraged neighbors to get to know and support each other, while also supporting small businesses. Arden Hills City Council has deemed these events troublesome and is aiming to change the ordinance. The drafted ordinance, being voted on on June 14th, would limit the number of food trucks a resident can host to two per year. Additionally, the resident host would need to pay a permit fee for each event, in addition to the permit fee already required of the truck. Finally, lack of compliance with the ordinance would result in a $100 fine or a charge of a misdemeanor. If you feel that this change would negatively impact the sense of community we have come to enjoy in Arden Hills, please sign below letting the City Council of Arden Hills know that a change to the ordinance does not represent the desires of the residents they serve.
