First Bajirao was an important historical figure in the history of Marathas, and had a profound impact on India in 18th century. He died near the banks of Narmada where a monument (Samadhi) still exists to honour his life. A Chatri is built which is believed to have contained his mortal remains (ashes). However, this site has been neglected and is in desperate need of restoration, and regular upkeep. There is dirth of educational tools at the site which could explain his life and his impact on India. This monument is also in risk of being submerged and would need to be saved before that happens.

I am submitting this petition to create an indication of possible pledging of donation from individuals. The idea is to get Archeological Survey of India to accept a project under NCF based on a kickstarter campaign that will be started later on.
