I am Catholic and believe in a God who loves everyone--I think our Pope is the best example of this! So proud of him and his courage to stand for what is right.

Jesus has nothing to do with this 'official' Catholic language. It simply reflects ignorance and needs to be corrected.

I am a Catholic and the position my Church has taken against me is painful and I feel marginalized and insulted. The Church has no problem sending me envelops with both my partner and I names on it. This same church will not let me be married in the Church after 42 years of being a gay couple. Why would I be denied the Sacramental Grace of marriage?

I believe it is against Christ's message of love and acceptance to describe others who are different using derogatory terms.

Chaput's statements were hateful and unnecessary. Just an assertion of "power", not a pastoral observation.
