The Student Government Association as a representative entity of the student body establishes an interest in extending the dining hours of the Gengras Student Union, many Students may not have the ability to bring dinner from their apartment or room on campus and may also not have sufficient time in between evening classes to go back to the residential side of campus to eat from University Commons or their rooms, which would effectively prohibit them from performing/focusing in their courses.

Commuter students may not have the ability to bring dinner from home or have sufficient time in between evening classes to travel home to prepare dinner or to travel to University Commons, which would effectively prohibit the students from performing/focusing in their courses.

The Student Government Association Strongly urges Aramark to extend the dining hours of the Gengras Student Union. The “dining station” subjected to the extended hours may be decided upon by Aramark.

The Student Government Association Strongly urges Aramark, if decision to meet the requests of Resolution 002 is approved, to implement the extension of the Gengras Student Union dining hours by the return of the student body from spring break.
