Today's (17th May 2017) MFP3 paper was far more difficult than any other MFP3 examination paper. This is not only my personal opinion but the large spread of students nationwide also felt this way (as can be seen through various social networking sites such as Twitter, The Student Room, Facebook). The majority of the questions in this examination paper were far too difficult for the MFP3 course or required more time than allocated to solve them. On a personal level, I have completed every past AQA MFP3 paper dating back to 2005 (twice), and although the June 2016 paper was a large step up form previous papers, it was manageable. However this year (17th May 2017) AQA have taken it too far and the paper was too hard for an A Level course. This petition also applies to all of the AQA A level maths papers set this year (2017) as I and many others believe they are way out of reach of the appropriate level of mathematical knowledge needed to get an A level in the course.
