Kilgore Highschool started this petition to April Cox and

Mrs. Menges students are done and tired of her rudeness, pettiness, and unwillingness to help out students in need. Instead of starting arguments with us students. She should teach us better, and not giving us assignments after assignments after assignments. Multiple in a day expecting us to finish it in a short amount of time in class. Multiple students have late work because of that she gives without a breather, to the point where students actually get burned out in her class. She doesn't treat us like actually students, she's acts "fake" and is so passive aggressive that at a point it goes to downplaying and disrespecting the student and calling them out and making them feel less about themselves and feeling embarrassed in the middle of class by bring a lot of attention to them and distracting classes for the littlest things. She's honestly so disliked by students that in multiple classes you'll go they'res always at least a couple of students talking about much they dislike her and if there's any way they can change they're schedule. It has gotten so wide spread that even a couple of teachers hear about her and mention that even more students want to get away from her. I've personally know bunch of students that want/are trying to get their schedule changed, and I know even more who want get of her, thinking about talking to Mrs. Cox in a large group to try and see what they can do and try and get multiple students have their schedule changed from her at the same time. Everyday in school i always hear Mrs. Menges' name more than any other controversial teacher and I'm tired to hearing it. School should be a place to learn, not having to deal with someone that thinks they can do whatever they want. It would be in kisd best interest to look into it and think about us the students who are desperate for something better. Someone that's genuinely nice, and willing to help us and give us guidance instead of making us feel like fools.
