We must stand up for our rights to educate our children! 

The Planning and Zoning Commission in Norwalk, CT denied a Special Permit to allow Schoolhouse Academy, an Independent K-12 school, to operate at 32 Weed Avenue. This denial is a tremendous blow to the families of Norwalk with school-age children. The Commission has taken away an affordable, high quality educational option because they felt "parents are not normal drivers. They are stressed. They are rushed...they will speed through" and cause havoc at arrival/dismissal in their neighborhood. They ignored their own zoning regulations and laws. In fact Schoolhouse Academy met all the criteria for a special permit, and showed the added traffic would be within the Acceptable Level of Service set by the City of Norwalk at all intersections studied. 

Please sign this petition to support Schoolhouse Academy court appeal and over-turning this capricious and arbitrary decision. You can also send an email of support to the Mayor, the local council members, and the Planning/Zoning Commissioners.
