Currently only 5% of 138 homes in our community are allowed to be rented.   That's only 7 homes out of our neighborhood.   This has to change. 

I asked the board to consider an increase in the percentage and was declined with no rationale beyond them believing that the current rate is reasonable.   What is reasonable is allowing homeowners the ability to rent their property if they so choose.   

We were the first family to move in this neighborhood in 2008 and have seen the benefit of renters as we have made friends with those who have moved in around us.   We believe that raising the current cap will allow for more interactions like those as well as allow the 6 current homeowners on the wait list to be able to rent their properties to families that need them.  

14 homes out of 138 is more than reasonable. 

We need 2/3 of the community to sign this petition in order to get it to be voted on with another 2/3 affirmation.   Please do the reasonable thing and vote yes.
