Everyday more and more Americans are using medical marijuana for health reasons. Vaporizers are a way to deliver cannabis into the body, while greatly reducing the possible negative effects that directly burning the flower bring with it. Recently much attention has been given to Vape pens, and similar devices that use potentially harmful/lethal chemicals as part of their respective delivery systems. In response, Apple made a decision to remove ALL vaporizer applications from their App Store. While done with what many would consider the best of intentions, this across the board ban should be lifted immediately. Many of the vaporizer applications that have been removed, are for devices that use NO chemicals of any kind whatsoever. Removing the applications that were meant to work in tandem with the vaporizers, has and will continue to make it much more difficult for the users of said devices. Losing the ability to easily make precise changes in vaporizer settings, as well monitor the status of battery life, etc. is a challenge that those who rely on these devices for serious medical conditions, should in no way be burdened with for yet another day. Far too many are experiencing unnecessary challenges on a daily basis, due to a well intentioned knee-jerk reaction. Apple should look at the devices associated with the applications they have removed, and immediately return all applications back to the App Store that use only cannabis flowers, THC oil/compounds, CBD oil/compounds, or a combination of THC and CBD, none of which rely on cartridges as part of the delivery system.
