Some backgrounds:

One of the business models being explored is the so-called “planned obsolescence”. Planned obsolescence can be defined as a production strategy through which companies plan and control a product’s lifespan, configuring products in such a way that they will stop working as well as they did before, or even entirely, right after the warranty period expires.

So, consumers shouldn't be forced to buy daily use electronics goods. These products should last for longer period like in 90's time.

The electronics waste are very high in every countries and with this it will only increase the waste and our environment will be deteriorate.

It’s our everyday products - types of e-waste:
31 % - Small electronic equipment such as microwaves, shavers or cameras
28 % - Large electronic equipment such as dishwashers and washing machines
17 % - Temperature exchange equipment such as fridges or air-conditioners
15 % - Screens
7 % - Small IT such as computers or phones
2 % - Lamps

E-waste contains extremely toxic chemicals, including: Lead, Cadmium, Dioxins, Furans, Arsenic, Mercury, DDT, PCB, Chromium, Vinyl chloride, Antimony, Beryllium...

We generate about 50 million tons of it every year.
