In this world of technology where we rely so much on certain apps to get things done, it is becoming increasingly frustrating when you wish to download an app even as universal as YouTube only to be told that the app is not available in your store (or region). Because of this and many other geo-restrictions, it has prompted me to make this petition so as to get the attention of Apple Inc. to look into this matter.

The Zambian population has a high number iPhone users and increasing by the day which makes it essential to have access to a better apple store providing a more diverse range of products. I may not know exactly what determines which region gets what apps but I feel we have the most restrictions and just nearby in South Africa their stores are better equipped. So what could be the reason as to why we don’t have access to a better store? I have opened this petition so that we can have a more improved store and to get Apple’s attention on the challenges we get to face. 

They say information is power and in this case access to these apps really is empowering and the opposite is true. It is draining to think that a person having an Apple ID in our region or country cannot access such apps as YouTube which is one of the most widely used apps.
