Allow widgets on the App Store that launch other apps
With iOS 8, Apple seemed to be making Notification Center more useful by enabling developers to create clever widgets that make it easier and more productive to use the iPhone. One such app was Launcher, which gave users the ability create shortcuts to their favorite apps and actions from Notification Center, so these shortcuts were always just a swipe away. This functionality was quickly embraced. Nearly 300,000 users downloaded Launcher in the first nine days it was available on the App Store. But Apple has now removed Launcher from the App Store and will not allow other developers to provide any similar functionality. We ask Apple to listen to what their users want instead of deciding for them. Join us in petitioning Apple to allow developers to make Notification Center widgets that launch other apps available on the App Store.
