This is horrible, abusive behavior coming from supposedly Christian church leadership. If they're going to demand repentance and change from church members in sin, they absolutely need to practice repentance and change themselves.

Afrer my son confronted his daughter in text over an issue Jeff responsed to my son with an incorrect interpretation of Matthew 18:15-17. ...I also walked with some friends through a situation that Jeff and his family were a part of, One of the events from the article in pulpet and pen. It’s time to repent Jeff!

Regardless of how Tim Hurd might have acted, I expected more from an ordained minister. An elder doesn’t owe common decency only to people under his care. he should act ethically with everyone.

Wrong is wrong.. a church secretly recording church members and others? The Bible doesn't say it'll be the church assembly leaders and Pastors who will be doing those things in these last days!

Secretly recording a conversation and sharing it without consent is wrong. A Christian doing this to another Christian is not only wrong, but extremely sad.

I actually like Apologia church and have supported them, but I disagree with what they did by recording and releasing the confession. The excuse of "we aren't Tim's pastor" is not a valid excuse for violating a private conversation.

Jeff Durbin, James White, and the other leaders at Apolgia should repent. They should stop trying to justify their sinful actions.

How sad that a church organization, which is SUPPOSED TO represent the body of Christ as a whole, would sully itself so heinously, thereby making itself more akin to the WORLD by using a practice on par with the KGB, or CIA for leverage purposes! And Jesus still asks "When I return, will I even find THE faith on the earth?"
