The gender wage gap is a big problem in our growing society. Women aren't being paid as much as men, and that's just a fact. The gender wage gap needs to close to provide equal opportunity for men and women. To buy necessities like food and water, to pay mortgages, and to have appropriate clothing. For every one dollar a man makes, a woman makes only 82 cents. That may not seem like much but multiply that by ten, and it's a different story. 82 dollars to 100, 820 dollars to 1000 dollars. Women are paid 18% less than men across all corporate fields. That puts women at a disadvantage right off the bat. Women deserve to be paid equally. Equal pay is a good first step to total equality, on all fields. It seems just ridiculous that women are being paid 18 percent less than men when everyone is doing the same job and the same amount of work. We all deserve to be paid the same, in any job. If everyone is doing the same amount of work why is one gender getting paid significantly more? To close the gender wage gap we all need to work together, to make things equal for everyone.
