Gavin Williamson directly compromised many children/young peoples futures due to his negligent handling of the position of Secretary of State for Edication.

The awarding of a Knighthood is an example of cronyism and Mr Williamson has not demonstrated the required capabilities or decision-making that most reasonable people would consider to be a pre-requisite for a Knighthood. He has demeaned the role of Secretary of State for Education. The awarding of this title is an insult to the thousands of children directly impacted by his lack of management, leadership or competency. 

it is also galling to those who work within the Education Sector who were denied the opportunity to be led by someone who was remotely capable of the position, which Mr Williamson sadly, consistently demonstrated he was not fit to hold.

Honours are and should be reserved for those who make meaningful impact in a positive way. Mr Williamson fails this test at every conceivable level.
