The Komodo dragon is the largest living species of lizard in the world. They hunt anything from birds, rodents, horses and water buffalo. They are native to five Indonesian Islands including the Island of Komodo where it gets its name. There are approximately 3000-5000 Komodo dragons remaining in Indonesia. This has caused them to be listed as a vulnerable species due to habitat destruction from development and natural disasters and loss of large prey from widespread illegal hunting of the lizards.

The Indonesian government wants people to start paying $1,000 to come visit the island we want to make sure this happens. If people want. people who want to vist the island will have to pay $1,000 annual fee. If a preson dont pay the fee they will be sent to other place that have komodo dragons such as Rinca Island. Additional plans include building a Komodo Research Center. As well as restructuring protocols for yacht tourism. The problem is the people of komodo Island wants to stop this from happning becuse  tourism is how they make money and if people cant come it will hurt the businesses.
