Michael John Lozada started this petition to anyone and

Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas on Monday filed a bill seeking to prohibit homework during weekends. House Deputy Speaker Evelina Escudero, meanwhile, sought a no-homework policy for kinder to grade 12 students.

(We want all formal study, assignments, projects, whatever, to be done inside the school. When the students get home, they will have free time to be with their parents, friends. When I arrived at the DepEd, we made that a policy. But some schools have been used to giving homework.)

"Ang gusto natin, lahat ng pormal na pag-aaral, assignment, project, whatever, gagawin sa loob ng eskuwelahan. Pag-uwi nila, libre na sila, free time nila to be with their parents, friends," DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones told DZMM.

The title speaks my side about the matter. As a student, I find it very exhausting that you do things at home which is supposed to be done in school. And that's very unhealthy, I tell you.

People should also consider how we feel about these stressful things we're required to pass or do at home which we actually could invest on things that we can do at home. I mean, we could learn things at home and not just in school. Also, we could have spent our time with our family and not with those filthy outputs and other stuffs that we should pass in order to meet the deadline.

"...education has to be holistic, so ibig sabihin 'yong time for personal development for bata is very important," DepEd Usec. Anne Seviila said.

The long and the short of it is we are deprived of the very opportunity for rest, relaxation and interaction after school.

Don't you want to ease our physical burden? *pouts*
