By simplifying the South African RPAS Part 101 regulations, and promoting a viewpoint that stimulates job and business creation, the SACAA can be instrumental in developing and growing the SA economy. The relaxation of the barriers to entry to start up a commercial drone (RPAS) operation will result in new jobs, new companies, increased tax revenue and other spin-offs. The direct result will be an improvement to the living lifestyle of many young people. Especially those, who currently find themselves marginalised due to unnecessary government RED TAPE, that in many cases was instituted and regulated based on claims that are not based in real life statistics and evidence and generally unsubstantiated. Aviation safety is a legitimate concern. But real life statistics need to be evaluated to realise that the current regulations are not congruent with the real risks.
