Food insecurity in Toronto has been on the rise these past few years. From 1 in 8 Canadians experiencing food insecurity, it has increased to 1 in 7 Canadians these past few years. According to a survey done in 227 food banks in Canada, there has been a %20 increase in the frequency of Toronto citizens that use food banks going a full day without food. This tells us that the demand for food donations and food provision has gone up significantly to the point where food banks cannot keep up. Our opinion is that food insecurity and hunger is worsening, and we must stop it from worsening to the point of no return. Help us create a future where today's hunger drives the security of tomorrow's foodl.
