CATS have it all — admiration, an endless sleep and as feline companions who purr on our laps. This image only portrays that an animal’s eyes definitely have that power to speak a great language.

Did you know?

That more than 19,000 cats are abused in United States laboratories every year— in addition to the tens of thousands who are killed and sold to schools for cruel and crude classroom dissections. Mostly were homeless who were neglected by animal shelters.

Being a test subject means being:

  • ·         burned
  • ·         shocked
  • ·         poisoned
  • ·         isolated
  • ·         dissected
  • ·         drowned
  • ·         addicted to drug
  • ·         brain-damaged

after these procedures they are either dumped backed into their cages without any painkillers or disposed. These are the terrifying and horrible truths of what animals have to deal with for research, testing and teachings. Even now, that we are a technology-based generation, where alternatives and dummies are suppose to be used, animal-tested kind of experiments still do exist.

Based on a PETA | People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Investigator, a pregnant cat who had been purchased from a local animal shelter for $15 gave birth to eight kittens the same day she arrived at the particular laboratory. A chemical was injected into the kittens’ brains, and sadly, all the kittens died. Going to another case, a cat who had also been bought, had a hole drilled into his skull and electrodes attached to his brain.

Doesn’t it hurt you to know that animals have to go through all of these?

Let us treat the cats as much as we treat our dogs, bunnies, guinea pigs and other animal being. Each were sentient, perceptive, and compassionate. We, as humans, owe them a duty of care as much as we do to children. Be with the petitions and organizations that aims for cruelty-free, requests alternatives, and supports only charities that do not use animal for testing.
