Veterinary Clinics California: Scan Micro Chips for all new animals that come in
This petition had 526 supporters
In March 2015 our dog Rocky escaped from an in-home boarding facility that was affiliated with Rover.com. In our opinion, the facility was extremely negligent and failed to have proper supervision and equipment. Rocky, who was a trained Border Collie service dog, was micro chipped and had tags on his collar. We spent more than one year and thousands of dollars searching for him in vain. If pet clinics were legally required to scan all new animals for micro chips, we may well have been reunited with our beloved dog. Certainly by now, nearly 2.5 years later, Rocky would have been taken to a vet. PLEASE sign the petition and help change the law so that clinics are required to scan new animals resulting in more lost animals being reunited with their rightful owners. https://www.facebook.com/TEAMROCKY2/
