Basketball stadiums in Victoria are opposing the hosting of the SSANBA's (South Sudanese Australian National Basketball Association) Summer Slam Basketball tournament, because of fears of violence. These trending views by stadium managers has spread due to the negative media attention that has surrounded African youth in the past few years. This tournament has become a famous 15 year tradition that the South Sudanese community has participated in and has allowed many young African ballers to showcase their talent and have something to look forward to.

We call out to any basketball stadium in Victoria able to hold a couple hundred people and has multiple courts, to give us a hand and volunteer to host the December 2018 Summer Slam tournament. This favour would be greatly appreciated by not only the SS community but the aspiring youth who just want to hoop.
