Larry Mancill started this petition to Anoka County Transportation Construction Engineering Supervisor - Design and Right-of-Way

This concerns the residents of Oak Grove, Anoka County, MN as well as for the residents in the surrounding areas and for the safety of the public.

There are not even no-passing zones for the intersection at 221st Ave NW (221st) / Lake George Boulevard (LGB), especially when 221st and University Ave Extended NE has them because both of those road geographies are identical.

There had been tragedies at that location in the past. Motorists pass lanes on southbound and northbound LGB just near the 221st when drivers turn either way onto the 221st or the LGB. There had been close calls, it is dangerous.

Although the Preliminary Engineering, Surveying & Environmental (2023 Program) OD2-609-019 CSAH 9 at 221st Roundabout is in the works, no-passing zone markings and signs could be easily implemented for the safety of everyone.

We hereby pledge that for the time being to have no-passing zones placed into effect as three years is too long for a roundabout and it cannot be promised that no more lives would be severely injured or lost.

Human beings matter, not employment or journey.
