I'm tired of the vet industry power grab to simply steal all animals and their care. These people need to know, they are not the boss of my animals. Vets are not the only people who are competent to care for animals. In fact, they are pretty incompent and cause harm to get more $$$!

I don't believe that one needs to be a vet, vet tech or PT to safely and effectively give a therapeutic massage to an animal. Human massage therapists are not licenced medical doctors. It does not make logical sense.

My animals have received so many benefits over the years from various practitioners that are trained in areas that vets are not trained. I love my vets and appreciate their services greatly, but they cannot provide all the services my horses and dogs require to maintain optimum health.

This makes no sense. Dog groomers don't require a license so why should a rehab person.

all treatment is important for the health of animals not just the tradition treatments.

I am tired of my rights being taken away from me, let me make the choice of who I want to take care of my dog and who I think is the best qualified to do so.

I want animal owners to have choices in the care they choose for their animals.

I believe it is my right as a horse, dog, cat, goat, donkey, etc owner, to choose the form of which rehab, I my self am very capable of administering to the welfare of my animals. I have been treating and helping my own animals for the better part of 40 years, and when needed I will call my local Vet.

As an animal massage student, I understand the value of proper training and certification for providers of complementary care. But why should massage therapists treating animals need to work out of a medical doctor's office, when those treating humans don't? (For an analogous refutation of the idea that talk therapists need be MDs, I refer you to Sigmund Freud's "Question of Lay Analysis".)
