It's plain ugly and I cannot believe that people find it a bit desirable...

We love Paris and have been there many times over the years. I myself also a few years back put a love lock on one of the bridges. Did not realize just how much damage and how costly the maintenance to remove these padlocks and feel very bad that I was part of the problem. I hope there will be a ban on these lovelocks and when we return we will see all of the bridges looking as beautiful as they have in our earlier travels to this beautiful city.

The although romantic, take away from the beauty of the bridges and the rivers. Besides, they pose a danger when their weight brings down the bridge walls.

Such a shame to ruin the beautiful Paris bridges with the heavy and unsightly locks. No one should feel they have the right to deface these architectural gems.

It is like ivy, that takes over an organism, and is just parasitic, killing the host. But weighs so much more!!
