We need high speed rail down the South East Coast of Queensland. Transport infrastructure currently relies on outdated rolling stock and trains only travel up to 170kmph maximum. Freeways and highways are clogged with cars and the cost of continuously upgrading is high and ineffectual when by the time they finish the upgrade, demand has grown beyond capacity.

With the Olympics in Brisbane in 2032, now is the time to build a more future thinking model of transportation. We rely too heavily on airlines and cars for long distance travel. High speed rail has been shown to be fast, efficient, sustainable and now affordable if you look into research by BZE on cost benefit ratio.

With Bullet trains exportable from Japan, within 10 years, Queensland could have  zero emissions journeys, create revenue and enjoy modern sophisticated affordable travel.
