Medicinal cannabis users are already suffering. They suffer from conditions that traditional medications can’t treat or can’t treat without severe adverse effects.

Medicinal cannabis users go through multiple assessments by medical professionals and TGA assessment  before they are even prescribed medicinal cannabis.

Even though their medication has no adverse effects, and they are no longer effected by their medication, they’re still tested for the presence of cannabis roadside, and not if they’re effected by it.

I’m not saying the floodgates should be opened for people to drive while drug effected. I’m asking for the government to legislate to allow medicinal cannabis users who are driving safely to not be further isolated by not allowing them to drive.

After nursing for years I suffer from PTSD and chronic insomnia. I’m a single parent of 2 special needs children having fled DV. Medicinal cannabis helped me immensely however I have to choose between my health and the ability to legally drive to care for my children. It is cruel to make someone have to choose.

There are so many people in the same boat as me and I would like the government to treat us as law abiding citizens, not common criminals.
