Allow google meets!
At 11:32 on February 4th, Heather Kellstrom went into a google meet and notified 3 students that google meets are banned from AAPS and the names have been recorded and reported. However this claim is false. The AAPS never blocked google meets, and along with many, many people have been using this meet for years already, and have never been notified that google meets are blocked. This specific google meet has not been used by any teacher or any other staff member for at 3 years. All of a sudden the meets are closed and we are unable to use the meets. Even if these meets are closed, Heather Kellstrom cannot simply tell us to stop and tell us that we are punished without telling us beforehand that these meets are closed. We believe that this action from Heather Kellstrom should not be spreaded out further. This is not fair for anyone who has been reported due to this. AAPS needs to work on spreading out what they do and what they don't want out more widely. They already use a site called Securely to block much of the things on the internet, if they don't want us using google meet, block it with Securely. This is what most AAPS students assume. But google meets have NEVER been blocked. Now they change that without any clear way for AAPS to know that they do not want us using google meets. We need to step up and change this now!
