Poverty does not care about age. Kids no matter what age can't help if their family is in need of help. Feed the kids!

Ankeny students, regardless of their age, should be able to eat a healthy meal at school each and every day!

I feel that whatever the problem is with the finances, children should not be made to pay for adult decisions.

No child should EVER go hungry! Particularly in an environment where hunger impedes education!

I don't feel better alternatives have been sought here that would demonstrate our desire to care for our community. Maybe instead of inflatables and silly games with prizes that get thrown away our PTOs could fund raise to feed our kids. Maybe instead of drives for other communities we are afforded opportunities to raise money for food for our kids. I do not care to be known as the affluent community who turns their backs on our own.

Ankeny Schools must provide school lunch for all students. Children of all ages have little control over whether their parents have the money to pay for their lunches.

We've put too much emphasis on paperwork and office headaches than being a true society that cares for its people. Kids first, school administration woes second.
