This petition addresses the Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, this practice is inhumane and out of the bounds most caring individuals feel is appropriate. This petition was created to get LOCAL support showing that we would like them to STOP Euthanizing animals that are acceptable for adoption due to lack of space or "cause". With all the networks of other animal rescues they can work along the side of others for placement, there is NO NEED to kill innocent loving animals that deserve a home that can care for them properly.
As this is a city organization we should expect more out of this organization, to do what is humane.By signing this petition you are asking the City Of Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control to stop Euthanizing animals (due to lack of space or "cause") that can be placed in homes and to work along the side of other Rescues to find those animals a loving home.Animal Care and Control should also be accountable for providing current sheets that allow the public to see just how many animals were destroyed per year and for the reasons given.

How does this make a differance? After reaching our goals we are taking this to the Court House,Mayor and beyond.
Siging this help to show that WE the people feel that this killing does not reflect what we expect from a city ran animal organization.
Allthough some animals are taken to outside sources, we dont know how many and how many have been put down and for what reasons. We the people have a right to that information, to be sure that we are doing all we can to save lives.
Im asking that the City Of Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control stops Euthanizing animals that can be placed in homes and to work along the side of other Rescues to find those animals a loving home.We the people want you to know we are very concerned for the well being of these animals. Im also asking you to provide to the public fact sheets that allow the public to see how many animals that were destroyed per year and for what reasons.
