Dreaded bonfire night
Dreaded bonfire night
Fireworks are a constant problem each year. Animals all over the world face stress especially in built up areas/housing estates. Many animals have even died from distress. This seems unnecessary, for the welfare and safety, of not only pets that people keep at home but, in farms and wildlife are also impacted. In my opinion, fireworks should not be sold to the general public but only for displays only, and planned events where responsible people are in control of them. Children and families won't miss out, they will still have opportunities to attend events and have a good time. Having fireworks in council estates and built up areas needs to be stopped or prevented/minimised at a minimum. These are for only people's own enjoyment and seems to have a big strain on other aspects such as, individuals with disabilities that may be sensitive to noise, elderly and also causing pollution. In my eyes, fireworks have no purpose and should be an offence to set them off in rural, council or built up areas. Personally, there isn't a lot that is good to say about fireworks. They have more negatives than positives and cause many issues. They seem to easy to access for people and therefore increases the issue.
