Demand school breaks ties with homophobe

Our high school says that staff and pupils support the LGBTQ+ community. If this school really did support the LGBTQ+ community, it wouldn’t allow a homophobic Reverend to come in for Easter and Christmas services (and surprise assemblies).
This man allegedly told a bisexual student that she didn’t deserve God’s love and that she was committing sin. He has on multiple occasions stated his hatred for the LGBTQ+ community, and has even said live on TV that gay marriage should not be legalised in Scotland, and although we have voiced our anger at this, the school has yet to act appropriately. So far, the school has decided that by keeping students who support the LGBTQ+ community from assemblies is the right answer. However it isn’t.
This Reverend will keep being bigoted in our school/community unless we find a way to remove him. It is appalling that the school doesn’t act on this and that students have to instead. We want to let the school and the Reverend to know that this is not okay. We want to put an end to homophobia in our community. We need you to help us by signing this petition.
