We the people of Forfar and surrounding areas in Angus object very strongly to Angus Council’s foolhardy decision to demolish Forfar’s Lochside Leisure Centre.  This building is not sinking as we were led to believe and clearly has a few decades of life left in it for our Community.  The extortionate and massive cost of £500,000 to demolish is obscene and an example of wasteful use of public monies and we simply don’t want it.  We the Forfar population have not been consulted but we are expected to embrace this decision.  We are angry and fed up of this non consultative approach by Angus Council in every Locality decision!   We need this amenity at the Lochside for the population of Forfar; the locality of Angus and holidaymakers to the burgh town and to help improve the local economy!
