  • The PE topics in school is not very fair as girls and boys don’t do the same lesson and I think it’s is very important for girls and boys to do the same things in PE as it gives equal opportunity’s for both sexes. One of the main things that provoked me to make this petition Ian the utter sexism in the topics. For example in year 8 the boys did football whereas the girls ( even though they do football but they only do it for 6 lessons, which it’s very sexist as the the boys do it for the whole term)  do netball. In year 7 the boys do rugby and football but the girls do dance and gymnastics. The boys do not do dance or gymnastics which  doesn’t give boys the chance to do such things which I think is very bad because boys don’t get as much exposure to things like that as they are often classed as girls sports and the sports such as rugby and football don’t get enough as they are classed as boys sport.
  • the boys also get a whole other kit for rugby. And they  need football/ rugby boots and shin pads and gum shields which is very expected as it is needed in certain sports but when the girls played football they where not needed which is a problem in safety as when playing football you get tackled and kicked quite often but if you do not have shin pads you can get injured or people will not play as well of fear of hurting someone.
