John Smith started this petition to Anglican Church Congregations

The Anglican Church of Canada has gradually pushed the Book of Common Prayer to one side. The service is now held at most Churches at Nine O'clock on a Sunday Morning, which is too early for some People who have to travel a long way. The service was put back to this time to make way for the Book of Alternative Services, which is really Paraphrasing the Book of Common Prayer, as like the new Bibles which have come out Paraphrasing the King James Bible. The excuse that is used is that People especially the young have a problem reading the English Prose that are written in these books. Since the Sixteen Hundreds every one had to learn to read these books as they where. The book of Common Prayer is the Founding Book of Service for the Church of England and the Anglican communion of Canada, and should not be treated as to old to be of use. I have noticed that some services claiming to be BCP Services are not conducted in full , but part of the Service from the previous Sunday is brought in as well.  Also the Anglican Church is slowly drifting away from the Scripture of both books, which is surprising as they where the original teachings of God written by a chosen hand.
