Last month Lisa Reed, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend lost her life as a result of the heartbreaking opiate epidemic. However, this wasn't by choice as 4 men are being charged in connection with her death! Lisa was well know and loved by so many! Way before Lisa's death a mural was created on the corners of North St and Park St with an illustration of Lisa on one end and her oldest daughter on the other! It is just as beautiful as it is symbolic and is a reminder of all those who have succumb to this terrifying opiate epidemic that Vermont has been plagued with! As a friend of Lisa's I feel this mural should be protected, it is a reminder to all of the devastation that the opiate epidemic can and has caused! This mural should stay up indefinitely as a reminder of all those we have lost and as a beacon of hope that others who battle opiate addiction may see and seek help and treatment! Please help Lisa's family and I by signing this petition so this mural is forever protected and can never be destroyed or painted over!
