We used these courts wisely when our girls were young, let's encourage access to tennis fans from all walks of life. I appreciate that the council needs income streams but if the courts are now empty - what a waste!

I completely oppose the introduction of fees. We play on the courts as a family, and this family/social activity has now been taken from us. We already pay enough money to the state in Council Tax, and we would like to see it used for the benefit of the residents.

Puts us off taking the kids for a casual game of tennis. Council tax increases and now can't even have a free game of tennis, disgusting! You should be encouraging kids to play go free.

I have always used the free tennis courts regularly over 35 years and my family use them and have fun they should remain free. There were tennis courses run which have been free and to get more people playing regularly they need to remain free to allow more and more people to take up leisure activity and a healthy life style. A recent article from an experienced tennis player indicated to help players play regularly fees are the one thing that put players off continuing over the years. It becomes too expensive and a luxury. Get people active with free access!

We pay enough council tax to cover costs & keeps kids off street
Maintaining is a lot less than the gyms & swings etc in the park

Give us back our tennis courts. My grandchildren have played on them for years, together with many many more people. At the moment they are just sitting deserted and unused, a total monstrosity of a decision to put a charge on them, all our "would be" Wimbledon champs are so disappointed. Let the kids have a good summer holiday on the courts FREE OF CHARGE.

I and a group of friends from the locality have been using these courts for over 8 years. We range from late 40s to 61 years younger... what a disincentive. I thought health and wellbeing of communities was a key priority for the local councils..beggars belief.
