Reopen the Hawk's Nest at Hawker College

On the first of March 2017, Hawker College officially closed to Hawks Nest off from its students. The Hawks Nest was seen as a safe haven by many, a friendly place where introverted people and people with social anxiety felt safe and happy to talk with other people like them.

When the principal 'Andy Mison' broke the news to the people inside of the Hawks Nest, he talked about how he did not like the secluded area in how it affected the 'community of the school'. He also talked about how he has plans to open another big open space for all students to hang out in.

The problem with this proposal is that the people who previously occupied the Hawks Nest are uncomfortable around large groups of people. They purposely chose the smaller room with less people because that is where they felt safe and happy.

This petition calls for the Hawks Nest to be reopened or if that is not possible, for a similar space to be opened.

For those wondering about the official letter, it will be drafted in the future for everyone to see :)
