Turn Piccadilly Gardens into a Peace Park

This petition had 290 supporters

For so long now, the people of Manchester have been dismayed at the state of Piccadilly Gardens. Now, more than ever, we need a safe green space to come together and celebrate our wonderful city. We have already shown that we are a force to be reckoned with. Let's come together to transform Piccadilly Gardens into a Peace Park.

A Peace Park is a place where people can come together to find solace from everyday life. A place where we can escape from a concrete jungle and hang out with nature for a while. We could include a memorial to our beloved 22, gone but never forgotten. Plant forget me nots to help bees hang out with us too, they've provided us with such comfort in these dark times.

Instead of being worried about drug users and homeless, we can use this as a place to help them find the support they need to find their way out of whatever dark place they're in.

Come on, let's make this happen! Manchester deserves a Peace Park and it deserves more than Piccadilly Gardens is right now.
